I am sorry for taking so long to post new pictures. I have been a little busy with two boys now and have needed much sleep. That's my excuse. :)
God has truly blessed Justin and I with two beautiful and exciting boys. JJ is just about into everything you can think of and challenging us everyday. Boy I had no idea parenting was gonna be so hard. But it's so much fun too! JJ teaches me things everyday and one of the biggest I am still learning is patience. It's truly exciting teaching your children and watching them learn their new world. JJ can say about 30 different words but chooses to grunt for his form of communication. Don't most men communicate that way though? He loves running around and playing with anything that has wheels. He loves outside so much and enjoys being dwarfed tossed by his daddy. He is so outgoing and has so much energy I should bottle it up and sell it. He enjoys being a big brother and likes to help momma by giving Jonathan his "peace of fire" and his blankie. Although sometimes he likes taking it away too.

Jonathan is so content and peaceful! An answer to prayer. He is now 5 weeks old. Boy where does the time go? He sleeps all the time and barely cries. Only when it's feeding time and he lets you know with a loud burst of I'm hungry. We are still working on him sleeping more then 4 hours through the night. He enjoys being in his swing and loves, just loves to be cuddled. He loves lying on your chest too. Jonathan is mister smiley. He is always cracking a smile. Mister happy go lucky indeed. Justin and I enjoy watching our boys grow up. Man has the time just gone by and for over the past 4 years we have done something new each year. Justin and I meet in 2004, got engaged in 2005 and married in 2006. In 2007 we had Justin Jr. and 2008 we had Jonathan. Have we been busy or what! We look forward to what God has in store for us.

The newest member to the DiSalvo family is Joshua Karson Legette. He arrived Saturday August 23 at 1:14pm weighing 7lbs. 4.6oz. and 21 inches long. Jessica and baby are doing great! She is loving motherhood and enjoying her new little man. What a doll face!!!!!!!!!!
Nana just loving on Josh. She is so excited to have two grandsons now.
We are thrilled too to finally meet Joshua. He is so precious and just a cutie pie! JJ wasn't up for pictures with his new cousin, but he too is excited!

Great Adventures

Mommy and I found this boxwood turtle while we were walking one day and we put it back near the pond behind our house. We have seen this turtle popping up all over the place. It's been in our neighbors yard, our backyard and just about anywhere you can think of. He makes the neighbors dogs go crazy. I think he walks along their fence just to get them fired up. It's funny to see the dogs try and dig there way out to get to him. We see him come out at least once a week. This truly is the friendliest turtle Mommy and I have ever seen.

JJ's Dedication

I tell you, this was probably the coolest Mother's Day ever! I have no pictures of this particular day to post but Justin and I dedicated JJ to the Lord on Mother's Day. We had several family there to support us on raising our son with Christ in our home and our lives. What a honor and a privelege it is to give back to our heavenly Father the blessing of our son and a promise to God to raise him with Godly principles. JJ is such a wonderful blessing to us and we are so happy and hope the best things for our son! JJ has shown and taught us so much already. The joy and impressions he has and will leave on our hearts is to powerful for words to even describe. What a JOY!!!! We know God has a wonderful plan for this little boy and we can't wait to see what God has in store down the road for him. It truly is a delight to see now how JJ loves for us to pray with him at bedtime and mealtime. I think it is a wonderful value we are instilling in our child and our prayer is to continue to raise him up into the man God has called him to be and to teach him how to serve the Lord everyday. And we are striving for that everyday even when we have not so good days. Our prayer is that someday our little son will become a young man on his knees.

Mother's Day Weekend!

We had a cookout Saturday for the family and it was tons of fun! We had lots of people over here. The kids enjoyed the swing set while the guys enjoyed throwing horseshoes. The guys threw football and baseball too.
Matthew is Robert and Sue's second oldest.
JJ loves Mickey Mouse sooo much and Abigail gave JJ her MickeyMouse clubhouse set. Thanks Abby you made JJ so happy!

Cousins from Tennessee

My cousins and I played for hours and had so much fun. Aunt Sue has her hands full with 3 boys. Luke and I are closest in age and we got along great!

That same weekend Aunt Robin came into town with my cousins Jacob and Abigail. Nana was over for the cookout and I decided to show off with some if my first steps EVER! However Nana was using my toy to make me walk. It worked!

We stayed with my great Aunt Sandy. She was the hostess with the mostess! She made sure my Mommy and Daddy had everything they needed. Renee even brought us Mommy's favorite Italian pastry.....Cannoli's! Yummy!
We hung out with Chris and Jen in Naggatuck CT.
His Mom and Dad, Barbara and Tommy came over to visit with us.
And we got to see Jen and the rest of the gang another day too.

New truck

While we were in CT we stopped at Toys R US and got JJ and new truck and a ball. He just loves his new toys!
We stop and saw his great Grandma DiSalvo! JJ was so sleepy but hung on so he could show off his cute smiles to all the people in the retirement center.

We had a Sunday brunch at Adam's Mill. It was so good! JJ ate waffles and bacon and eggs and we let him try Salmon too and he just loved it!

Trip to CT

Our trip to CT was packed full of fun. We were very busy catching up with family and friends. We got to hang out with one of Daddy's best friends Reggie and my great Grandpa and great Aunt Lori and her two boys Joe and Christopher. We ate at Bogaboo's Creek. Awesome food!

Mom Mom and Pop Pop came over Saturday for dinner. We had so much fun! They got to see me show off my muscles by pulling my self up to the table and walking around it slowly. I fell a couple of times, but I got right back up!

My Nana came over Sunday and gave me this cool neat toy! I can sit on it or walk behind it. The bestest part is I can push his nose and he talks and laughs. He's really funny! I love it so much! Thanks Nana!

JJ is keeping me so busy. This is how his room looks like after about 5 minutes of him playing. Toys Toys Toys are all over the place. Anything he can pull down or tip over he will find a way. Not to mention he is like his Dad where he bumps his head on EVERYTHING. He is pulling himself up on the furniture. It will not be long before he starts running, I think he will skip walking all together. :) He's a lot of fun! I love it! And full of energy like his Momma.

Nana & Grandpa had a dinner party Christmas Eve and I got to see my Aunt Jessica. Yeah ! I miss her sooo much! I saw my buddy Carter too. His Momma is Bethany and her family celebrated with us as well.

Our first Christmas with JJ was awesome! He got lots of cool toys and lots of clothes. One of his favorite things was looking at the lights on the Christmas tree.

Vonda, one of my best friends came in for a visit from Germany with her husband Ian and her beautiful daughter, Ella Rose, whom I got to meet for the first time. Vonda and I have been friends since 1997. What a wonderful and enriched freindship we have. Their visit was awesome! Ella Rose is just a sweet heart and JJ would like to take her out on a date in about 18 years if it's ok with her Mom and Dad. It is always good catching up with her. Everyone needs a little Vonda in their life!!

Frank made a true Italian meal and Justin topped it off with an Italian Love cake for Vonda's birthday. We miss and love you guys!

Life's Journey is a story waiting to be told

Our life is a book telling a story. As we turn the pages, life gets more interesting as we go along in our journey. I have learned in life that you can do anything you want to do and accomplish any dream you have dreamed. Trusting in God and letting Him direct you path has never hurt me. Although I have stumbled from time to time, I find it easier doing things God's way.

To be completely satisfied in life is a goal many strive for. I'm glad I have teamed up with the best man ever...my sweet husband Justin. There is no I in teamwork and that's why we get along so well. Sometimes we have to remind ourselves of that, as we both can be stubborn sometimes. I look forward to many many years with him and to watch our son grow and any other children we may have. God has blessed me with so many blessing and I am forever thankful. We are blessed beyond all means with our family and friends, they are truly a blessing to us. Justin and I hope to pass on a legacy to our children that is cherished, deeply enriched and above all, Christ centered. Our lives will tell a story and one that will last for a lifetime.
